ARTIST  STATEMENT

Using the cheeseburger as a cheap metaphor for idealized, American monoculture my work explores the nexus of pop culture, religious icon art, lowbrow surrealism, and my own daily exploration of environment. Through extensive layering of UV resistant resin and acrylic paint my work employs depth and overlap to attempt to portray the fleeting, imperfect nature of memory in a digitally archived world.
